The countdown is on as Colne prepares for its biggest outdoor music festival of 2026, with chart-topping headliners East 17 leading a packed day of live music and entertainment this Saturday.
Colne Cricket Club Music Festival will bring eight hours of music, family entertainment, food and festival fun to the town, with the event running from 12pm until 8pm.
Excitement is building ahead of what will be the biggest event Colne Cricket Club has ever staged, and organisers are urging anyone yet to secure their place not to leave it too late.
Online ticket sales close at 6pm this Thursday, with a wide range of options available including adult, child, family and VIP tickets.
Adult tickets are priced at just £25, while a family ticket for two adults and two children costs £60.
For those looking to make the day extra special, a limited number of VIP tickets are available for £90 and include a meet and greet with East 17, access to an exclusive bar and toilets, a private viewing area, welcome drinks, canapés and more.
All tickets can be purchased online through Skiddle at https://www.skiddle.com/e/42427595 or from the Colne Cricket Club clubhouse.
The entertainment gets underway on the festival's huge video stage at 1pm, when host Gavin Young will begin warming up the crowd with some fantastic live music.
At 1:20pm, Burnley College Musical Theatre will bring a high-energy combination of singing and dancing to the stage, before performers from Colne's very own Helen Green Academy of Dance take over at 2pm with a selection of well-known hits and classics to get everyone firmly into the festival spirit.
Talented R&B duo Kulturess will keep the live music flowing from 2:45pm, bringing their explosive blend of rock, R&B and rap to the festival stage.
At 3:30pm, it will be time for the Swifties to take over as a special Taylor Swift tribute delivers some of the global superstar's biggest and best-loved songs.
Take That and Robbie Williams fans are next in line for a treat at 4:15pm, with one of the country's most talented Robbie Williams tributes taking centre stage.
The festival then heads into the world of K-pop at 5pm, before the sound of Oasis takes over at 6pm, giving fans the chance to sing along to some of the Manchester band's biggest anthems.
Then, at 6:30pm, the moment many festival-goers will have been waiting for arrives as headliners East 17 take to the main stage.
With more than 22 million albums sold worldwide, 18 Top 20 singles and four Top 10 albums, East 17 remain one of the UK's most successful and recognisable boybands.
Fans can expect a hit-packed set featuring favourites including House of Love, It's Alright, Thunder and the timeless Christmas number one Stay Another Day.
East 17 said: “We are very excited about headlining the Colne CC Music Festival this year and bringing the energy of our performance to the people of Colne. We haven’t performed here before, so it will be a new experience for us being there.”
Local favourites Sonus will also enjoy a slot on the main stage. There will also be plenty happening away from the stage throughout the day.
Families can enjoy a funfair featuring attractions including a traditional helter skelter, while a variety of street food stalls will be serving up food throughout the festival.
A number of pop-up bars will be open alongside the cricket club's clubhouse, while festival-goers will also be able to complete their look with face painting and festival hair.
Scott Earing, Treasurer at Colne Cricket Club, said: “We can't wait for Saturday. This is the biggest event we have ever held at Colne Cricket Club and there is a huge amount of excitement building around it.
“We've put together a fantastic day with something for everyone, from East 17 and some brilliant tribute acts to local performers, food, bars and family entertainment.
