The Colne Cricket Club Music Festival takes place on Saturday 19th September, bringing a full day of live music, entertainment and family fun to Colne.

Headlining the festival are 90s pop icons East 17, with a packed line-up also featuring tributes to Oasis, Robbie Williams and Taylor Swift, as well as K-Pop entertainment.

But while some familiar names will be taking to the stage, organisers are also putting local talent firmly at the heart of the festival, giving performers from across the area the opportunity to showcase what they can do in front of a big hometown crowd.

At 1:20pm, talented singers and dancers from Burnley College Musical Theatre will take to the stage with a high-energy performance of singing and dancing, guaranteed to get the festival off to a fantastic start.

They will be followed at 2pm by performers from Colne's very own Helen Green Academy of Dance, who will be performing to a number of well-known hits and classics.

A familiar and much-loved name in the town, the academy has been inspiring young dancers for more than 30 years, supporting students from their very first steps in dance right through to professional level and giving them opportunities to perform across the UK.

Now its dancers will have the chance to perform right on their doorstep as part of one of the biggest events coming to Colne this September.

Helen Green said: “It’s such an amazing opportunity for our dancers to perform in our hometown as part of such a big festival. There’s always something really special about performing in front of a local crowd, surrounded by friends, family and familiar faces, and we know it’s going to be a brilliant day.

“We’re so excited to be involved and incredibly proud of everyone taking part. We can’t wait to get on that stage and see everyone there!”

Later in the day, local indie-rock band Sonus will bring their sound to the festival stage. Already firm favourites at Colne Cricket Club, the band will perform at 7:30pm, following East 17, giving local music another major moment in the festival line-up.

With household names, tribute acts and homegrown performers all appearing on the same bill, the festival is shaping up to be a huge day of entertainment for Colne and the wider community.

Away from the stage, festivalgoers will also be able to enjoy street food, fairground rides and plenty more throughout the day, making it an event for the whole family.

Tickets are selling fast, with adult admission priced at just £25 per person. Family tickets, VIP tickets and adult and child ticket options are also available.

Priced at just £90, VIP tickets provide the ultimate experience for visitors including welcome drinks, a dedicated bar, host and toilets, a viewing platform, meet and greet with headliners East 17 in the private gallery area after their performance, plus much more.
